Data retention
How long a vendor keeps audio, transcripts, and generated notes.
Data retention defines how long an AI scribe keeps recordings, transcripts, and note history. Retention windows range from zero (immediate discard) to 90 days for quality review to indefinite for notes stored in the vendor's chart. Retention defaults, deletion mechanisms, and the ability to override them per practice should all be spelled out in the BAA.
