Encryption in transit

Protection of PHI as it moves over a network.

Encryption in transit protects PHI while it moves between the clinician's device, the AI scribe's servers, and the EHR. TLS 1.2 or higher is the current expectation; SSL and TLS 1.0/1.1 are considered deprecated for healthcare use.
