Audit log
A tamper-resistant record of who accessed what PHI, when.
An audit log tracks every access, edit, and export of PHI within an AI scribe. HIPAA requires covered entities to be able to produce audit logs on request; small clinics should confirm the scribe surfaces them and retains them for at least six years.
